Glamping in Tyrol and Upper Austria
Glamping – the clever wordplay combining “glamour” and “camping” – is on everyone’s lips. Behind the term lies a whole new dimension of camping. If you don’t fancy a classic hotel holiday but still don’t want to miss out on a touch of luxury, then this “glamorous” alternative to traditional camping is exactly right for you.
More comfort, more space, more privacy – and simply more holiday: that’s glamping! In Tyrol and Upper Austria, you can look forward to an exceptional camping experience at five beautiful sites.
Ferienparadies Natterer See
In 2015, Ferienparadies Natterer See became Austria’s first glamping park. A true pioneer in luxury camping, it still delights guests today with a unique range of offerings shaped by innovation, a strong commitment to quality and an unmistakable sense for the extraordinary.
Here, you are spoilt for choice: would you prefer to stay in elegant safari lodge tents in breathtaking African style, or in wonderfully cosy wood lodges with alpine flair? Whichever option you choose, a kitchenette, a fully equipped bathroom and a comfortable panoramic terrace with lounge or garden furniture and a BBQ grill are guaranteed. It simply doesn’t get more comfortable than this when camping!
The rustic pinewood sleeping barrels, which accommodate two people, are also wonderfully snug and truly a slice of heaven on earth – not only for couples in love. Falling asleep has never been more romantic! But these are far from the only highlights. Ferienparadies Natterer See is set in a light forest among pines and birches and pampers its guests with beautiful views of green meadows and majestic mountains. A private bathing lake with great sports and leisure facilities is just as much a part of the experience as a large playground and a varied culinary offering.

Tirol Camp Fieberbrunn
At the five-star comfort campsite, which is picturesquely set right by the valley station of the Fieberbrunn gondola, you will feel as if you are in paradise. This sense of well-being is not only thanks to the excellent infrastructure with spacious deluxe pitches featuring private bathrooms, but also to the unique wellness area. Here, in the 1,000-square-metre “Energy Fountain”, you can relax perfectly after an active day in nature.
Whether in the panoramic pool with indoor and outdoor areas, the idyllic natural swimming pond, the exclusive sauna world or the steam bath, the “Energy Fountain” offers the perfect balance to play, fun and sport. So go ahead and let your cares melt away, and treat yourself to relaxing hours in the infrared cabin, brine tunnel, whirlpool and Kneipp facility!
Meanwhile, your children are in the very best hands. Little ones can let off steam in the kids’ club and on the playgrounds, while teenagers can “hang out” in the cool Chill Bus or try out exciting sports.
Gourmets can look forward to delicious regional specialities and themed menus. And of course, there is a separate children’s menu for hungry youngsters!
Extra tip: During the summer season, Tirol Camp Fieberbrunn offers wonderful indulgence packages with special wellness and pampering experiences. Attractive hiking and golf offers round off the luxurious camping experience.
Camping Seeblick Toni
Even the most rational thinker becomes a romantic at Camping Seeblick Toni, because it is almost impossible to resist the enchanting charm of the pinewood sleeping barrels.
Just as romantic, yet with an extra touch of comfort, are the “Bungalows de Luxe”. Beautifully set amid greenery, these bungalows feature a double bed, a triple bunk bed, a living and kitchen area, a shower and washbasin, as well as a separate toilet. Cosy luxury on around 40 square metres – without losing the homely camping atmosphere!
You can also enjoy pure pampering in “Toni’s Relax Zone”. This exclusive wellness world is a fascinating blend of traditional alpine architecture and state-of-the-art technology, featuring various saunas, an aroma steam bath, tea bar, waterbeds and a cosy seating area with a fireplace.
Here, you can also treat yourself to soothing treatments and massages!
Little guests are equally well catered for at Camping Seeblick Toni. From the Räuberland adventure area to the nature play park, from the Topi kids’ club to the weekly children’s activity programme – boredom is simply not an option here.
And to make even washing and showering fun, there is the cheerful Children’s Washland Aquarium, where all sanitary facilities are perfectly designed for young guests.
Camping Berau
Sleeping with an unobstructed view of the starry sky, yet still having a roof over your head – is that even possible?
Maybe not everywhere, but at Camping Berau it certainly is! This is made possible by the glamping dome: a 20-square-metre dome tent with a terrace, air conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi. The highlight of the dome is without doubt the transparent roof, which truly opens up a view of the night sky.
More fantastic glamping accommodation is already planned as well: for example, converted VW buses, tree houses, wooden cabins and mobile sauna trailers.
If you prefer something less creative and unconventional, but instead want to camp in particular luxury, you can of course choose one of the beautiful holiday homes or the newly designed luxury lakeside apartment (“Atelier”). Extras such as a conservatory with a unique panoramic view, a private steam bath and a glass gallery in the sleeping and living area leave absolutely no (luxury) wish unfulfilled!
There is even underfloor heating for wonderfully cosy warmth and a stylish reclaimed-wood kitchen with a granite worktop!
But one thing is clear on this site too:
