STATEMENTS ON CORONA FROM TYROL AND UPPER AUSTRIA
The last weeks and months were admittedly challenging also for us as operators of the Top Camping Austria sites. Nevertheless, we have all made good use of this uncertain time for the delayed start of this year’s season! The already high hygiene standards on our sites have been further strengthened, but also modernisation and construction projects have been put into action.
In the following Top Camping stories you can read the statements of the Top Camping Austria campsite operators from Tyrol and Upper Austria. We are looking forward to welcoming you again at our campsites!
Statement by Georg Giner:
"During the time of our closure, we were anything but idle. We worked flat out on our planned projects for the welfare of our guests.
The result is something to be proud of after the long-awaited reopening: 4 new and modern mobile homes are already accommodating the first guests, 2 luxurious "Floating Homes" are floating on the lake, a unique "Green Space" Tiny House gleams out of the green nature and the sanitary building in the southern part of the campsite has acquired a completely new design.
Of course, we are very happy to see our resort populated again with carefree holidaymakers enjoying our innovations!".
Statement by Andreas Brunner:
"The last months have been a challenging time for us as well. Our positive basic attitude and the anticipation of the re-opening on 29 May was never lost, even in turbulent moments. Motivated, and full of zest for action, the days were used to get our camping resort up and running in every nook and cranny.
As such we have finished some constructional works: in addition to a new restaurant and private sanitary rooms to rent we built fantastic chalets with a panoramic view of the Tyrolean mountains. We also built a fun court to please the families amongst our guests. Altogether we have extended and expanded the offer on our 5-star Camping Seeblick Toni at the Reintaler See in Kramsach with new attractions.
We are looking forward to you spending your holiday with us in the Alpbachtal. See you soon, your Camping Seeblick Toni Team“
Statement by Franz-Josef Fiegl:
"Fight the Corona tantrum! After the sudden premature end of the winter season and the strict quarantine measures, we first had to get an overview of the incredibly confusing situation. It was certainly one of the most difficult times we have had to overcome to date! We were in the middle of the start of a major construction site and from one day to the next we didn't know how to go ahead. We kept in touch with our guests and we are happy that everyone reacted to our situation with a lot of understanding and that we were able to reschedule most of the already booked holidays. Many guests also took advantage of our voucher offer. Keeping an intensive contact with our campsite colleagues has also helped us during this time.
We tried to actively use the time of the shutdown and have implemented a number of smaller refurbishments in addition to the main construction site (e.g. repair work, maintenance work on the entire campsite). The new construction of our main building at Camping Aufenfeld is certainly one of the largest projects of this kind in the history of the campsite. A traditional, modern apartment house with sanitary facilities, private sanitary cabins, ski depot and ski rental facilities, high quality family apartments and 3 luxury suites with roof terrace will be created. A large underground car park as well as an underground connecting passage from the apartment house to the indoor swimming pool is currently under construction. The completion date is planned for mid-December.
In the meantime, we are happy to welcome domestic guests as well as guests from abroad again. We are very happy about this. Due to the fact that the situation calmed down and that camping is an ideal type of holiday in times like this, we are currently very positive and look forward to welcoming our guests. Our mission is to offer you a carefree holiday despite the current situation. According to the motto: as much freedom as possible with as much protection as necessary".
Statement by Christoph Stöckl:
"We are more than grateful that we could finally open the doors of our Euro-Camp again and we are looking forward to welcoming you in Kössen in the Kaiserwinkl region!
During the last months we have concentrated on our planned construction projects and have put them into action. For example, we paved the paths and installed lanterns in the Z-area of the campsite, built a lounge/lodge and a children's cinema.
In our “Kaiseralm” restaurant we renewed the toilet facilities and built a children's playroom. Full of energy and motivation we are looking forward to the coming season!".
We are very grateful for the good booking situation. Our frame of mind is also extremely positive, and we get the same feedback from our guests. Special measures: the already high hygiene standards were raised once again. In addition, you will find several disinfection stands in the more frequented areas. As the campsite and its publicly used facilities are very generously planned and laid out it will be easy to keep the required distances.
Our restaurant opened on 10 July. We have also taken all measures to ensure the necessary distances. Our children's club also started on 10 July and we try to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air with our little guests. The wellness area and sauna, the indoor and outdoor swimming pool are also open for use and we expect that with a little personal responsibility, it shouldn’t be a problem to keep the required distances also in these areas.
The reception and the shop have been redesigned. They are now much more spacious - everything is airier than it used to be.
About the region: the mountain railways are in operation. Some new family attractions have been created for the summer, such as the “Secret of the Steinberg King” - a puzzle rally through the entire Pillerseetal.
Statement by Benita Hinterberger:
"We are really very happy that you can finally visit us again! The last months have been crazy - for all of us - we hope a bit of normality is now coming back... of course with the caution and measures that are necessary to protect you and us.
After the shock was halfway over, we set to work and used the time as best as we could... there are a lot of new things to discover in our Berau: e.g. a new pizza oven, the new parking deck for hotel guests, a brand new GENIUS playground with exercise trail for teenagers and adults, a newly renovated apartment, a new play corner in the HIAS area, newly levelled pitches, asphalted paths in the campsite, new play barn with table tennis, billiards and table football (“Wuzl” table) ... and many other things!
You could and can still watch the Berau construction works on Instagram: berau_am_wolfgangsee "There is always something going on in Berau! That's how it should be in this beautiful time of the year... But because of COVID-19 we also had to wait for the start of the season. To sweeten the waiting time we produced this Corona song with Michael Leitner.
Take it easy. See you at Berau!
Our security arrangements: Automatic sliding doors are installed in our wash houses to avoid contact areas. Additional soap dispensers, plexiglas walls and disinfectant dispensers will be installed in all buildings."
